NLA Indianapolis Play Party Rules
1) NLA-Indianapolis parties are PRIVATE. NLA-Indianapolis or NLA-International members, supporters and their guests are permitted to attend.
2) All attendees must RSVP to attend. NLA-Indianapolis leadership and the host(ess) reserves the right to determine the optimal number of people at the party and will only accept that many reservations. Anyone who registers after the party has been declared full will be put on a waiting list. Anyone who has not RSVP’ed will not be permitted entry.
3) You must be 18 years of age or older AND be able to produce one of the following documents to verify your age. If you cannot produce one of these documents you will be refused entry:
a) State identification with picture
b) State drivers license with picture
c) United States passport with picture
d) United States military identification with picture
4) Non-member guests must be accompanied by and vouched for by an NLA Indianapolis member.
5) All attendees must have a signed Safe Space Policy and Play Party Waiver on file with the NLA Indianapolis Chapter.
6) All play parties will have a designated social space and a separate designated play space. Socializing should be kept to the social space and all play must be kept in the play space.
7) Firearms are not permitted at any NLA-Indianapolis function
8) When entering or exiting the Play Party, everyone must be attired in ‘street legal’ clothing.
9) Absolutely NO illegal drugs will be allowed.
10) Guests are permitted to bring alcoholic beverages, but should act responsibly.
11) Anyone judged to be impaired may be asked to leave.
12) NLA-Indianapolis Play Parties require that all activities must be undertaken in a risk aware, consensual manner.
13) NLA Indianapolis will appoint at least one Dungeon Monitor at each party. Decisions of the DM are final. Any person or persons not responding to a DM’s instructions shall be removed from the premises and NOT allowed to return.
14) If you wish to engage in blood play, wax, fire, scat, urine or fisting or other ‘messy’ play, you will be required to:
a) Obtain permission from the party host and DM
b) Bring your own drop clothes & sharp containers (if applicable)
15) The host may propose stricter rules to the Executive Council when volunteering to host a party. Those rules, if approved by the Executive Council, will be in effect and enforced at that particular party.
16) While personal safe words may be used, the house safe words are “SAFE WORD” and “RED”. If those words are heard, the scene must immediately stop. If a bottom is gagged during a scene, an alternate safe word method must be in place and communicated to the DM.
17) Attendees may not touch any person or their property without their permission.
18) If you ask someone to play and they say no, the answer is final. NO MEANS NO!!
19) Please refrain from loud or unnecessary conversation in play spaces. Disruptive observers will be asked to leave the play space.
20) Unless specifically invited to do so, DO NOT a ftempt to join a scene either physically, by asking to participate, or making suggestions. Do not give greetings or farewells during scenes.
21) If you believe a scene is unsafe or that intervention is needed, inform the DM. DO NOT interrupt a scene yourself. If you cannot locate a DM, inform the party host or a member of the NLA-Indianapolis Executive Council.
22) No cameras or audio-visual recording equipment is allowed in the dungeon without the consent of all present.
23) Cell phone use is restricted to the social area. If you must take a call, text message, or otherwise check your phone, please leave the play space to do so. Any cell phones and cell phone accessories in the play space must be set to no light and no sound.
24) If you wish to change the lighting, music, or other aspects of the environment in the play space for a scene, you must obtain the permission of the DM first.
25) Some play party locations may provide play space that allows for closed-door scenes. If you choose to close a door to the room in which you are playing, all scene participants must first inform the DM. Participating in a closed-door scene provides additional risks and the DM will not be available to help or monitor. A DM may enter the room at any time.
26) Please be considerate of others waiting to use equipment or rooms. DMs may impose time restrictions, if needed.
